Yep, that about sums it up. (Paul vs. Obama)

Dan Miessler, as he admits in pretty much the first stanza of an excellent post, already sums up what I’d just gotten done posting about not five minutes before. [link]

When do we switch to Obama? When Ron concedes. I don’t care that Ron doesn’t believe in evolution. As long as he keeps his religion out of his politics, it’s not our cross to bear to constantly root out any profession of Christian belief from those who would strive to be honest public servants.

And Obama, as Miessler notes, really does compare favorably with Ron Paul once you get past the ideological mental barriers that no longer serve us, and are no longer becoming of a body politic that is now progressing through a difficult adolesence.

That said, I’m very intrigued by the possibility of a four-wide race of credible candidates past the conventions: Obama (hopefully not Hillbillary), MittCain, a Ron Paul independent candidacy sustained by his excellent netroots and grassroots support, and the ever lingering spectre of a Mike Bloomberg candidacy. Hell, even throw in Al Gore for good measure!

At least we’d finally get some debates that were worth a damn.
