Smoking Bans Bringing Back the Speakeasy Spirit

Some enterprising bar owners in Minnesota are bypassing their state’s smoking ban –for now– by staging “theater nights”, taking advantage of a loophole that specifically allows actors to smoke on-stage. [link]
Just goes to show you, just as with prohibition and other things, that people are going to do what people are going to do. It just depends on how strong their will to do so is, and how strong, in turn, is the state’s will to prevent them from doing so.
